The Importance of Tooth Shape and Heat Treatment Process for Gear Couplings
2023-09-06 15:00The tooth surface of the external gear shape is a circular arc tooth along the length direction, and the tooth shape is processed by profiling through the template. Seen from the direction of the tooth top, the teeth on the external gear sleeve are drum-shaped teeth, and the tooth thickness decreases gradually on both sides. Since the tooth top and the tooth surface of the outer gear sleeve are arc-shaped, the entire coupling is double-jointed and flexible.
Due to the reasonable and reliable performance of the drum-shaped structure of the tooth, the contact condition of the axis is improved under the condition of deviation angle, thereby reducing the contact stress and eliminating the load concentration at the tooth end of the straight gear coupling, that is, eliminating the edge extrusion improves work performance.
The surface of the tooth part of the gear coupling will change color after quenching and tempering and high-frequency dipping process. The main reason is that the steel heats up rapidly after the gear coupling is heated, which makes the coupling deform and discolor due to heat. Couplings used for a long time will rust and affect the service life. For bolts that have been corroded or have a lot of grease, solvent is often used to spray the connection between the bolt and the nut, so that the solvent can penetrate into the thread, so that it will be easy to disassemble.
For the study of complex multi-span rotor systems with a large number of degrees of freedom, starting from the analysis of the meshing force of the internal and external teeth, it is a more suitable method to study the change law of tooth meshing stiffness and its influence on the overall dynamic response of the system. Based on the existing research, this text fully considers the misalignment, dynamic relative displacement and coupling of the transmitted torque between the inner and outer gear sleeves.
