HOW TO USE UNIVERSAL COUPLINGS REASONABLY

In principle, both ends of universal couplings can be used as active ends or driven ends. Installation should comply with the design requirements of the transmission system, and the spline pair should be kept away from vibration sources or impact sources as much as possible.

Before installing the universal joint drive shafts, the oil stains must be cleaned and the flange surface must be dried. The flange connection bolts must be tightened with a torque wrench; tighten according to the specified preload torque, and the mechanical property grades of the bolts and nuts are 10.9 and 10 respectively.

After the installed cross axle universal coupling runs under load for one cycle, check whether the flange connection bolts are loose, and tighten them again according to the specified preload torque. Repeat this for several working cycles until the bolts are no longer loose.

The universal-joint shafts should be fully lubricated. The bearing part should be relubricated once a week at the beginning of operation. After normal operation, it should be relubricated once a quarter, and the spline pair should be relubricated once every six months. When relubricating, new grease should be squeezed out from the T-shaped oil seal until the new grease overflows.
