Several Cases of Demagnetization of Permanent Magnets
2023-09-21 15:00The permanent magnet used in permanent magnet couplings is Nd-Fe-B. Its magnetic field strength is more than ten times that of ordinary magnets. It is the permanent magnet material with the highest magnetic energy product so far and is known as " Magnet King".
As the name suggests, magnets are permanent magnets, and of course they will not be easily demagnetized! Its demagnetization is related to the following aspects:
1. The first is timeliness. General magnets have a service life. After a certain period of use, the magnetism will weaken. However, the magnetic properties of NdFeB permanent magnet materials change very little with time. Its half-life is two thousand years, and the design life of our products is It's twenty-five years, so there's no need to worry about demagnetization.
2. The effect of external strong magnetic field. The external magnetic field strength exceeds the magnetic field strength of NdFeB, causing the permanent magnet to be magnetized, but this possibility is almost impossible because KUDOSWORLD products use NdFeB permanent magnet material, which itself has the strongest magnetic field strength.
3. Effects of chemical reactions. Under the action of chemical factors such as acid, alkali, oxygen and neon, the structure of the permanent magnet material will change, which will cause the permanent magnet to demagnetize. However, KUDOSWORLD's permanent magnets are installed inside the permanent disk, and the surface of the permanent magnet material has a protective coating. It will not directly come into contact with acid, alkali, oxygen, neon, etc., so no chemical reaction will occur, and the permanent magnet will not demagnetize. .
4. Effect of vibration. After the permanent magnet is subjected to severe vibration, it may cause the internal magnetic domain to change and cause demagnetization. However, the installed equipment is not likely to vibrate violently whether it is running or stopped, cannot experience severe vibration and demagnetization due to vibration.
5. Effect of temperature. Excessive temperature will cause demagnetization of the permanent magnets. The permanent magnets selected by KUDOSWORLD have a maximum temperature resistance of 120°C. Proper heat dissipation design ensures that the temperature of the permanent magnets during use will not exceed 80°C, which is much lower than the allowable temperature. The permanent magnets will not Demagnetized due to high temperature.
