SOLUTIONS TO VIBRATION IN UNIVERSAL COUPLINGS

1.The balance piece or component is not dynamically balanced.
2.During assembly, the two universal joints of the same universal-joint coupling are not on the same plane.
3.The industrial universal joints coupling is bent, the shaft tube is dented, the marks are not aligned when the drive shaft is assembled, or the spline shaft and the shaft tube are skewed during welding, destroying the dynamic balance of the original part.
4.The flange connecting bolts are loose, causing the position of the universal Cardan shafts coupling to deviate.
5.The spline wear between the spline shaft and the sleeve is too large, and the gap is too large.
The vibration of the universal coupling is manifested in that when the cross axle universal coupling and expansion joint are in good technical condition, abnormal noise will be produced when rotating at high speed, and the higher the rotation speed, the louder the noise will be.We can solve it by:
1.Check whether the shaft tube of the universal-joint coupling is dented or dented, and whether the balance piece is missing.If the balance piece is lost, the same balance piece needs to be re-welded at the original soldering point position.If there is a dent in the shaft tube that causes the industrial universal joints coupling itself to lose balance, the spline shaft and universal Cardan shafts coupling should be cut off on a lathe, and a mandrel smaller than the inner diameter of the shaft tube should be inserted into the shaft tube. Use a mold hammer to repair the depression.Then cross-weld the cut spline shaft and universal coupling back into place.
2.First check whether the flange connecting bolts are loose and tighten them as appropriate.
3.Remove the cross axle universal coupling drive shaft assembly and perform a balance test on the balancing machine. When the unbalance is very poor, balance compensation must be performed.
4.Check whether the expansion joint is installed according to the standard mark. If it is installed correctly, support the car body, start the engine and run it at low idle speed. If the universal-joint coupling swings a lot, you can use a scribe needle to measure the deflection position, direction and amount. , if both ends of the transmission shaft are not straight or bent, soft metal that matches the shaft tube must be padded on the bead for cold pressing correction.
